Froggy

The City by the BaySome people have such an incredible knack for creating interesting and compelling titles to their posts. Oh, I guess those would be real *writers*. I always struggle with mine and thank the Diety of your choice (or not, but I guess that disclaimer isn’t really needed because if you don’t have a Diety to choose then you’d simply choose “nothing”, but honesly, I’m simply amazed at how I can turn just about Anything into a tangent. That, surely, is a sign of an unwell mind.) that we travel so much and I can simply title with the present location. (you made it!)

It dawned terribly froggy yesterday and I felt compelled, the entire day, he was actually, In My Mind The Entire Day, to write something entertaining for my BIL working his 47th 24 hour shift. Well, not exactly 47, but pretty damn close. I sure did THINK about it…

Sissy ShadowThere was something very dangerous, well, more than normal, about being on California freeways Friday. We headed up to pick the boys up from Drew’s and sat is horrific traffic, finally passing a four car accident which closed two lanes. This isn’t normal, or at least it *wasn’t* when we left. Picking up the boys, Drew’s father found HIS car missing from the driveway; it had been stolen. Driving him to pick up a rental, we were stuck in such horrific traffic we took sidestreets. Jamie, all the while, is insisting it is normal Friday traffic. Hours later, emerging from Costco, we find the Very Same Horrific Traffic and find another 4 car accident. Driving down to Aunty Christina’s house, we find four tow trucks lined up at the side of the road, just behind 4 cars in various degrees of disaster. I have never seen so very many four car accidents. It was a very weird traffic day. My folks had the same experience.

I had gobs to say, but there is something wonky with my brain; it needs an intense coffee infusion. Ellen was feverish and headachey all night and I slept off and on while the kids played this morning, not in the dark hours of the night. We then need to pack up the guesthouse and get ready to leave in the wee hours tomorrow morning.

I have no idea why, when I “fix” the border in the above picture, all the text formatting goes away. Someday, when I get time… I think I’m going to stick the stealing TypePad’s HTML instead of Flickr’s. I do like the photo size and that nice border (though, not THIS one). Move along folks, I’m just rambling here…
