Maybe the motherboard. Many problems are often traced to bad RAM. Sure would be nice if it was as easy as replacing the RAM.... Don’t know much about IBM but I believe they have very good tech support. Completely dead?? That is rare. Maybe just a poor connection inside. Maybe the motherboard. Many problems are often traced to bad RAM. Sure would be nice if it was as easy as replacing the RAM….

If you are using AC, have you tried checking the outlet with something else - like a lamp? You could test the outlet for the TV with a lamp, too.
