OMG! I'm laughing so hard I'm crying, as you have JUST DESCRIBED MY LIFE for the six months we were on the road. If there was a tree anywhere in the vicinity it was absolute, positively determined to in between me and my bird!

But, I will confide...at month five, we were camping in heavy canopy, and I actually got the damn thing pointed - no one in the campground could believe it, as we were truly in a the midddle of a forest. And then when we moved here and couldn't get our broadband to work, I said screw it, and set up the satellite, trees and all - and lo and behold, guess what venue I'm typing this through (one hint, it's not the damned broadband ;).

I actually gave up using the OPI fairly early on (okay, it didn't help that I forgot to detact it once and it go majorly rained up and never worked again.) But my modus operandi finally came down to this; set up dish, hook up laptop to modum right next to dish, move dish around until locked onto bird, run API, reboot, hook up wireless - all in 15 minutes or less. Boy I miss those days ;-).

Alright, now I've laughed myself silly, I need to catch up on the other recent posts. Much love to you all.
