Well, they are On The Road! Jamie and his gang of theives left the Bay Area yesterday and spent the night in Mojave. Westy is reportedly getting 20mph which is amazing mileage considering the load. They have all kinds of stuff on top and loaded inside. CompUSA STILL, a month after receiving my laptop, has not been able to fix it, so they will return without it. Not sure how that will fly with me working, Jamie “needing” the computer, and the boys always wanting to play Runescape, but I’m sure we’ll manage. The most important thing is that they are actually on their way. Ellen and I kept looking at each other yesterday and saying, “Daddy is coming home!”.
I’ve updated the “About” and “contact” links and changed the color so the links at the top of the screen should be easier to see. I’m not sure what I’ll do with “archives” and “links”. We had the most incredible sunset last night; I thought it would spectacular so I headed out for pictures but with the heavy cloud cover figured the show was over Too Soon, as, after getting Ellen into bath and dinner on the table, looked outside to see an absolutely SCARLET sky. I was up at 4:30 this am and was astonished to see the same thing at sunrise. Glorious sky. Today we hope to go to the mercado for shopping (food and “stuff” for the kids) and photographs (me).

Hi Kit!
We might be able to help you out laptop-wise. Your Mom’s IBM laptop has broken UBS ports, and can be operated by touchpad only. Otherwise is OK. She now uses the new HP laptop. MY laptop seems to have an occasional problem connecting to the screen. Might not cost much to fix.
love, papa
I like the new look. For curiosity’s sake.. is the Ameri-Camp a 32 footer? Popout sides?
Growing up my family did all our vacation camping in travel trailers. But they were considerably smaller then I think your Ameri-Camp is.
Kathy, still keep trying to enlarge the very small type in the links, comments, etc., etc. but to no avail. Just really tooooo small to see and read……hmmmmm, IS it ME??????
John
It is supposed to be a 30ft trailer, but it could be 32 feet. Hard to say withe the tongue and spare on the back. I think I probably have a picture on Flickr somewhere but who knows. All my pictures were on the computer at CompUSA. The trailer does have a slide and my next entry might be interesting for you CIODUDE.
Mom and Dad; thanks so much for the offer; I think we’ll be ok with one. We’ll try to get CompUSA to ship it to us here in Mazatlan.
I keep checking to see if there is a post on the arrival! Do you ever miss having a garden with the RV? This is my favorite time of year for being in the garden – ours is a gravel pit! Perfect for all the boys – dig rocks, throw rocks, move rocks here and there, etc. Looking forward to hearing about the return of your missing family members!
Well, family is getting closer!! Kathy, you mention working. What do you do? With the kids, traveling and everything else, when do you find time to work? Parker!! We have been there. Matter of fact, there is a wonderful vet (lady) out there. Unfortunally, she could not save our sweet dog, and we had to have her put down, but of all the vets we took annie to trying to save her, we really liked her the best. Parker is a nice little community. We liked it alot.
Try not to pull your hair out waiting the return of the rest of the family.
Talk at ya later.
