Ok, is renacemiento the equivalent of cemetary? Because it looks like “rebirth”. Today is Mother’s Day in Mexico and the partay is at the cemetary. We passed by two of them on the (very long) way home from the dentist office. It seems to be a total holiday; everything is closed and kids don’t have school. Everywhere they are celebrating motherhood and all the mothers are smiling and happy. The boys are finished except for a cleaning and sealants and go back tomorrow for that. Ellen cannot stand for me to be worked on, so the rest of the root canal will have to wait until Jamie arrives. Speaking of which, it seems like he may be here by Sunday if they keep up the rapid pace they’re setting. They spent a layover with my folks in Parker, Arizona and left early this morning. Sissy is reportedly basking in the glow and rapt attention of two men. She’s in for a shock when she returns, sharing the men with the rest of us.
We’re hoping that Jamie et.al. will be in Tucson tonight and hope they don’t die of the heat. I’ve put the A/C on today as it is simply too muggy ouside to be comfortable, even seaside.
I so wanted to get out at the cemetaries and take pictures, but the kids weren’t having any of it, so I went really slow and took pictures from the car and talked about how people were celebrating the day today. We’re not much on any of the hallmark holidays and don’t even celebrate our anniversary, but the celebrations we saw today really seemed to be the essence of the day; not a card, but heading to the cemetary with millions of flowers, umbrellas (for the sun), food and the entire family to remember the mother who had passed.

Yay! So glad they’ll be there soon.
We hit the road next Wednesday. I haven’t even been down to Rebeccah (the trailer) in weeks, though we have lots to do to get ready to go again. Batteries to be charged, propane to be purchased, some fixes of the pluming and screens (cold and cat induced). But I can’t wait! Guess I need to start updating Trip to Wonderful, that is, if it’s even workig anymore
.
Grace walked to the store and bought me tulips yesterday with her allowance. She must be tuned into Mother’s Day down there, not here.
