I really forgot how much I love Teacapan. I’m not sure exactly what it is, but Jamie is also starting to come around; humidity and all. There is no negotiating in this town. If the lady de-heading shrimp says camarones are sesenta (sixty) pesos/kilo and you try to get them for cinquenta (fifty), you just might end up paying sixtyFIVE. I dragged the boys along with me today to make compras and they ended up being my burritos. Everthing is over at Flickr. It is so amazingly tranquil here, yet we are so close to town that we can walk in and people walk out to our beach all the time. There is so much beautiful bird life that an entire afternoon can pass before we realize it; watching the frigates fishing and the herons dancing. Maybe I’m just a small town girl at heart.

We paid 150 pesos per kilo, and more as the season ended, in San Felipe. An you want to negotiate at SIXTY pesos per kilo! You go girl!

yeah, but these shrimp are much smaller. Note to self. NO NEGOTIATING IN TEACAPAN.
