When I was writing the title, I was trying to think of the most ridiculous combination of limón and something, and I honestly came up empty. Not ice-cream, yogurt, soup, beans, salad, rice, meat, tortillas (fresh tortillas with a squeeze of limón, oh YEAS!), we get the mayonaise that already has limón in it and I have found The Best Chorizo in the entire country; it has a distinct, strong taste of limón. Jamie made a lovely chicken soup and something was just missing for me. Finally I figured it out. I added a dollup of molé and a good squeeze of a quarter limón.
Oh, I thought of one. Coffee. I don’t think I’d like coffee with limón but I wouldn’t be against trying it.

mmm, potato chips with limon are my favorite!
Of course, the most ridiculous uncombination of limón and something if the limón was left out is a gin and tonic. Cheers!
love, dad
oh for crying out loud … you never know what will turn up when you google your own name. lmao. I just found a note fr you @ PHC. LOL! THANK YOU that was hilarious. And I wish I’d gotten it sooner!

I always put lemon in chicken soup; it adds the perfect flavor note. Some of the others I’ll have to try now, though.
Lots and lots of lime in tortilla soup makes it the best ever (I have a fantastic recipe for it if you would like)! Also add some chipolte sauce, but taste as you add it, as it will spice it up rather quickly. But that smokey flavor is so wonderful.
Have you taken to slicing lime up, shaking salt on it and eating it as the Mayans in the Yucatan do?
Lime is fantastic in everything……but I agree with you on drawing the line at coffee.
Chantele; Oh, now that sounds good! Or maybe freshly made potato wedges with limon.
Dad; I just can’t abide gin anymore. Dunno why.
I much prefer tequila. I’m dying to try some new stuff 100% agave reposado that we got recently. Oh, you MUST visit Zacatecas. It is really out of this world. Tranquilo and beautiful.
Bonny; I’m so glad you saw it! I forget where and when that was, but every time we listen to PCH I’m whisked away to what I imagine your house to be; we’re sitting on the back porch swing, barefoot and watching the kids run around the yard and drinking. Oh yes, drinking something quite good.
Tara; that is a MOST EXCELLENT idea!
Jody; I’m sure you’re right; I’ll have to try that too. I love chipolte and even found some bullion cubes that are tomato and chipolte. Yum! Here they sprinkle chile on the limon and eat it that way.
I always put the juice of a lime or two in my spaghetti sauce, really adds something to it. Love jus walking out my door and picking them off of the tree.
Just found your blog this morning and am enjoying it.
