I have an enormously long post to make about enormously large changes we’ll soon be making and my reaction, but as it always seems, I’m not currently with time to explore en blogue.  So, suffice to say, I’ll try, but we’re headed back to Carlsbad Caverns today for another explore, then to the Dollar Store (no thriftstore in town) to get gifts for Sissy’s birthday (tomorrow) and somewhere in the day I’m going to try to fit some hours of work in.  Pretty much a normal, hectic day.  So, my abandoned readers, keep the faith, an update will arrive…

    Happy birthday, Sissy!

I’ve spent way too much time trying to figure out how our kids match up age-wise. I think all your kids are at least six months older my cohort, born 9/96, 6/98, 12/99 and 7/02. I think Grace (eldest) falls in between Jesse and Pike, which makes her a perfect match for either, and hence, makes us in-laws. She’s very responsble and reads and writes Latin, so a fine catch indeed (he he!) Having read your bio piece, I think Kezzie (Keziah) and Ellen will get along famously, as Kez is the center of the universe, according to herself, of course.

We will probably be exiting Colorado before you all even reach Albuquerque, so once again, I imagine that our paths around not destined to cross at this moment.

Today is a sad day, however, as one of our traveling felines, Maya, never returned, and we fear she is lost to us forever (there are many coyotes and cougars in the area - in fact we saw the latter today, crossing the road in front of our truck.) But Gluskabe (an Abenaki mega-spirit farmed out to pester humans) works in unusual ways, and we just can’t see the whole picture at the moment. But we still mourn her loss.

Much love to you all, and awaiting your update with bated breath, though I imagine it includes a purchased homestead near Ft. Davis. Just promise me you’ll let me help you make it completely self-sufficient and off the grid, power-wise.

Hello! I thought for sure after our three day weekend of being out of town I would find this “big newsy” post from you. You can’t tease us like that … please “do tell.”
p.s. Love you and hope you are all doing well, regardless of this news.

While you continue to tease us an enormously long time, about an enormously large post, we’d appreciate it enormously while we wait if you’d post its Executive Summary :-)

    love, dad
