Must also be the Highway Most Littered with Nails, or something. Pop Tarts?!? Oh no, now my vision of you all as The Most Crunchy Family Ever is completely ruined. Sigh. Now, you're not far from our level, particularly if you confess to buying Doritos and donuts (like, um, us.) Darn, just looked at a map, and you're going to completely miss Iowa, aren't you. Too bad - it's now one of my favorite places - nothing that I, Mainiac that I am, would have expected. I love Don Wright's books, btw. Found some of the best gems on our trip through it. I only wish it did a better job in California - a lot of the numbered sites on the map are missing, especially in the area we're currently visiting (Watsonville, which I love!) Pop Tarts?!?
