The kids are saying that today is just like Christmas. They’ve been on tenderhooks all day long and when the sun finally set they all rejoiced as all the days of waiting are now over and they’ll be seeing their beloved Papa and Tata tomorrow. The hotel here at PaaMul is certainly beautiful on a lovely beach no resorts anywhere in walking distance, but is very expensive. So I’m not sure if they’ll stay here or not. Jamie, Ellen and I took a look at the rooms and if they stay here I’ll be sure to post pictures; they are simply beautiful. We’ve been watching their flight all evening; the last leg was delayed and I captured the above a bit before touchdown (about 9:10ish Cancun time). Mexico has decided to wait to switch to DST instead of following the US so we’re an hour different until 1 April.
Jesse and I and the rest of the family are doing so very much better. I think we finally all understand each other; our needs and feelings. Jamie is feeling very much better and if he decides I can share the reason for his sickness with the Internets then I will. Lets just say he’s never going to do that again. I’m almost positive it is Salmonella and after a day of antibiotics, he is a new man. I wish I could think but right now I’m just thinking about seeing Mom and Dad tomorrow and my brain can’t deal with anything else.

Getting to see family is one of my favorite things. I hope you all have a lovely time visiting; and it’s good to hear you’re feeling and doing better now!

Hi. I live in Tucson, but would really like to drive all the way to Mexico City. Is it as dangerous as some people say? I speak pretty good spanish.
