I upgraded to 2.1.3 and now have a plugin to zap SPAM. If you submit a comment and it doesn’t post, please email me and I’ll check the SPAM box. So far, it is working amazingly well! Over 1200 SPAM comments dealt with and deleted without any work on my part. The plugin is part and parcel of this version of WP, but here is a linkety to Akismet.

Yep Askimet is one of my absolute favorite plugins.
Saves me hours of deleting spam and even learns from the ones you mark spam that slip through ( those sneaky suckers).
