I don’t have sufficient imagination to make this stuff up

si, cabe! So yesterday, I’m sitting at the diningroom table, working quietly, no cawfee for some stupid reason and the rest of the house slept. In our trailer. Under the palapa. Yes, I did manage to SQUEEZE it in but I used the terreno a bit across from us which will have a palapa on it this winter, so I really can’t use it. But I wanted to get the trailer in so Dino could decide which poles to keep and which to move and which to put where. So she’s in. And it seemed like it only took a couple hours. Anway, I’m sitting there, it is quiet; a Sunday morning, and I notice a neighbor from across the way a bit tiptoeing over, through the terreno next to us (which is receiving it’s palapa this week) and throwing bright blue and red ball like objects into their back jungle mess. Weird. She doesn’t see me and then tiptoes over to our back yard and throws more way to the back of ours. Then she simply walks back into our backyard and is not seen again.

This morning after everyone had been up and breakfasted, old stooped Don Beto shuffles into our backyard, dumps out a large garbage can with soil in it on the ground and walks away. This garbage can had been in our backyard forever and we’ve been using the soil to plant free plants we hack out of the jungle. He walks around the terreno next to ours and the palapa across the way agitatedly, like he’d planned to come back over and finish what he’d started (did he want the garbage can?) but either Jamie scared him off or the kids did.

Will Don Beto make off with the garbage can (larger than he is)? How will he carry it away? What was Heidi throwing into our yard and where did she go? We knew this was a kind of “Peyton Place”ish place but what we didn’t realize was that the inhabitants are certifiable.
