you were saying “salsa picante” with such a thick accent. reading it i know what it is, hearing you ask for it is – like i said – the spanish speaking news reporters on tv. one minute it is english, the next spanish speaking. i’ve only gotten this far in your post – so must go read the rest.

In Texas, salsa picante had never had is served with everything. My cousin, from New Yawk, had never even tasted mexican food prior to visiting us in Texas…just criminal.

I am so glad she is doing better. That is just awesome news. I was so excited to see an update to your site via bloglines with news of your mom. I squeeled…….well, mabye it was more like a “WHOOP!!!!”.
