In for a penny, in for a pound

Annie tagged me and for once I’ll do it.

What Was I Doing 10 Years Ago? Let’s see…2008-10 would be 1998.  Jesse was 4, Pike was 2 and Sissy was yet to come.  I was probably pestering Jamie about having Sissy.  I would have been working, so working part-time and pestering Jamie about having unprotected sex.  That about sums it up.

Snacks I Enjoy: Hot nuts.  Dayum I love those nutz.  Figs you get down here that are in a syrupish but not wet and eat them with Panela cheese (but I don’t do dairy anymore, but I do remember it).

Five Things on my To-Do List Today: 1) laundry 2) get rid of my headache 3) hope the wind dies for a snorkel 4) laundry 5) start abx

Things I Would Do if I Became a Billionaire: Holy shit that’s a lot of money!  First, manage it so it wouldn’t disappear.  Setup or contribute to some philanthropic charity.  Maybe becas (scholarships) for kids from Mayan villages for secundaria.  Buy a house in Merida and remodel it.  Get a new trailer and keep traveling.  In that order.

Three Bad Habits: Too much sugar consumption, not enough exercise, oh, I MUST have another one, but I’ll be damned if I can think of it; I’m SURE Jamie can help me out though.  :)  Bullheaded?

Five Places I Have Lived: Only five?  A tent on a vega in Torres del Paine, Chile.  A hotel room in La Paz, Bolivia, consulting to the United Nations.  A small apartment in Hermosa Beach, CA, complete with 2-seater sportscar and narry a care in the world.  A tent in Ft. Collins, Colorado while it rained the entire time and my Dad did something that I can’t remmeber.  Surely, that can’t have been a vacation?  A trailer that travels the US and Mexico.

Jobs I Have Had: I’m not sure I can remember them all.  Before legal age:  First papergirl in Auburn Alabama (broke the sex barrier), housecleaner, gas station attendant, dishwasher (college), bank teller, telecommunications specialist or something like that, data communications person, network engineer or something like that, consultant, programmer, I’m getting bored with myself.  Most important job is Mom.

Things People Don’t Know About Me: I’m pretty much an open book.  There are things that will not be shared, however.

I love your answers! And have I told you how cool I think your life is?

And I’m cracking up that you read my gentlemen’s club job as real. That would really make me a whole different person, wouldn’t it? Funny thing is, when I was younger and looked good enough to do it, I would have been way too self conscious. After three kids, I’ve lost all modesty, but I don’t think I’m exactly what the industry is looking for! LOL
