You know you haven’t updated in a good long while if your blogging software makes you login. I’ve been living in the land of ignorance as what I believe to be the culprit, Gmail, has decided that when new mail arrives, they should hide it in the most unlikely place and definitely NOT where all the new mail is supposed to be. I’m sure there is a fix somewhere but unless you’re aware of the problem, you just figure your Inbox is finally getting to a manageable size and don’t question. So I had no idea that anyone had posted comments wondering what was going on.
My life is getting so organized I think I might have to arrange for an intervention. I have my training sessions calendarized – I HAVE A CALENDAR – I am figuring out dinners the day BEFORE, I pretty much have the rest of my life mapped out before me and can only escape the confines of The Schedule with death. Sounds like a plan. It has, however, allowed me to figure out if I’m on track with the studying and what is due when. I got a 97 on my first assessment and a 97 on my first test. I just turned in my 2nd test yesterday but don’t expect I’ll do that well. It is looking like I’ll be done with training and studying by the end of the year and I’m looking forward to adding income.
Pike turned 12 at the beginning of the month and true to form, immediately matured. He’s been going through pre-puberty or some such hormonal trip (at the same time that I have been, isn’t Jamie LUCKY?) with the mood swings and hair trigger emotions which pretty much immediately disappeared the day after he turned 12. He is still our emotional boy, but he now takes a moment and thinks.
I’ve been playing the Mexican waiting game with the FM3; I thought the case had been reviewed and I was in line to actually get the book but that would have been too easy. The last time I checked on it I was told that the workers were still working on March and wasn’t I SILLY for wondering if mine might be READY. I am hoping that my file will get a review by this month and am actually hopeful it could happen. The review will tell me all the documents I have wrong or should make another copy of or should get something different of and it can probably go on indefinitely. Many people hire lawyers to bypass all the requests and waiting and physical waiting in the waiting room and in bank lines but I’ve got time. I suppose.
Jamie and I started walking again, just this week, and I started tracking my food intake. Not making any dietary changes yet; just looking to see why I never loose weight when we exercise. I pretty much figured out I eat too much. Go figure. So far I’m down 2 kilos. If you feel like being somewhat voyeristic (c’mon you wouldn’t be here if you weren’t), you can track and harass me at SparkPeople . Jamie is disgusted at the low mileage we’re putting in, but since my life is so incredibly sedentary since I started studying, I’ll take ANY movement whatsoever. And today, he wasn’t all that fancy-footing and hopping along the bunny path as he dragged his exhausted ass home.
I’m still somewhat frustrated by our lack of involvement in the community and keep threatening to spend the afternoon at the CEA, the Akumal library or even a simple martial arts class but it is all we can do to get up before noon (Jonna will be happy to note that the boys slept until 2:30pm the other day) and go to bed before 1am.
My computer is veeeeerrrrrryyyyyy sllooooooooowwwwllllllyyyy dying. Almost every morning I hold my breath and hope it starts, and when it doesn’t, keep trying, and copy all my most precious files to an external hard drive each and every night. I have an equal system (Thinkpad T30) with a roached motherboard, but that will probably be the problem with this one, so the parts are pretty much useless.
I think my brain is empty now.

So what was the allergic culprit?
Whoo hoo! on the 97’s! Very well done Grasshoppa!
I am with you on the weight loss and exercise. I finally woke up and realized that since Mia is now 4, I can’t blame baby fat for my excess baggage anymore. I have been making protein rich, fruit filled shakes for breakfast and lunch, and having a normal dinner. I am down 9 lbs so far! 16 more to go. Gah!
Thanks so much for the posting.
Good luck on the studies and on the weight challenge.
I look at your site every day, and today was awarded with your post. Great writing and thanks for the news.
Lots of love to each of you…………
Kit, this is a classic post. Well worth waiting for. Thank you!
love, dad
PS> I’ve lost about 15 pounds…eating lots of fruit & veggies and a bit of exercise. Unfortunately, I’ve not got back to walking after I strained my Achilles tendon climbing hills in Pleasanton. But we do swim every day here in Sunbeam Lake RV Resort in El Centro, CA – 100 degrees yesterday….
Nice to see you posting. Your pre-pubescent stories are scaring me and my little one is only three, lol. Any idea what the hold up in on your FM3? Do you go through the Cancun office or is there one closer to you? I know immigration is a mess, but I just got mine in about three weeks (using a lawyer this year, I wasn’t going to mess around). I wish you luck with it, I hate the whole experience of fighting with INM. Good luck with Sparkpeople, I have friends who swear by it!
I for one am soooooo happy to see you post again. It was a long time since that last April 30th post.
I check your blog every day now, especially hoping to see another pic of Little Boid. Just received an email from Jesse about Boid, and found out that Boid is doing fine!
George
