Is there nothing better in the world than Crema de Coco soaking into it? Maybe crema de coco with rum…

I think you can probably get it anywhere - it isn’t coconut milk, but crema (but it has no cream in it. go figure). Put it over freshly made banana bread and I think next time I’m going to HAVE to try banana bread + rum + crema de coco. I like it so much I even soak grapefruit sections in it.

Tropical Storm Arthur is all the rage today; we lost power around 1:30 this morning and didn’t get it back until mid-day today. The seas are raging the wind is howling and this is probably only depression (vs storm) sized wind. I’m beginning to wonder if we’ll ever see glassy sea again. Our power has been really iffy lately; we have been experiencing regular brown-outs and finally lost the transformer. Then we lost the fuses on our lines way out on the highway (when the contractors tried to replace the bad transformer). We have been having cables replaced along the road that connects our area with the carretera (and natch, when cables are being replaced, there is no corriente) so the power has been really iffy. I’m so glad we have all the sensitive equipment on a cut out switch; when the voltage drops below 104 we loose power but save electronics from low power damage.

I’ll try to get pictures up from my limping camera to my limping laptop; the camera seems to be on its last legs, very slooooooowwwwwlllyyyy extending and retracting the lens and the laptop will sometimes boot and sometimes not. I have a spare parts laptop (with a damaged motherboard) in the same model but I’m not sure I have what it takes to fix this one. I just keep backing it up each and every night (well, just the data I need) and am happy each time I get it to boot up.

I think they might be having a snowball fight in hell. I posted TWICE!

So glad to see another post so quickly! We had a tornado alarm today for about 40 minutes - we got lots of hail and rain and strange clouds. But not the yellow/green scary storm clouds. I love watching storms - hopefully your watching will be safe!

    That sounds delicious.

Tropical season is upon us. Clouds float through most days, and we have lots of wind. Good for sailing. Gas prices have our trailer in storage (sob). We hope to take it out for a spin for at least a week this summer. The other 2 will be boat trippin’.
