We've gone to one pig roast in our lives and everything was tasty! Any fireworks down there (even though I know that 4th of July is not celebrated by our southern neighbors. That so many Yanks live there I wonder if they shoot off fireworks. There were scads of fireworks stands in the Nashville area, all doing a big business. We watched some of the night lights on our way back from Aunt Barb's. Very pretty. I never listen to fireworks without remembering how much Nannie loved the boom, boom, boom.
