Last year we got stopped for no reason unless driving 10KM under the limit is illegal. One tried to talk to us but we could not understand his rapid-fire Spanish while the other studied the car and dolly. This went on for a good ten minutes and they finally waved us on out way. Maybe they thought we were just to stupid to try to explain the "bite" to and simply gave up... They never asked to see any papers after we showed them our Canadian Passports which they gave back. We will be there again in a couple of weeks. Hope they do nor recognize us! It must be something about Cancun Traficos.. I've heard many of people whose vehicles have been impounded for less than that.
