June 2007

Oh Mama. I’ve been avoiding updating these pages and this month is the reason. For anyone jealous of our thriftways, we get our comeuppance this month. I flew to the US while my mom was in the hospital and both Jamie and the kids (in Mexico) and I ate out a LOT. We also had a short trip to Merida to get an emergency passport (for me) and normal passports (for everyone else) and the hotel and eating out gave our budget a huge whack upside the haid.

Auto/RV $352.84 (includes $332.50 in Mexican auto insurance)
Eating Out $142.47
Gifts $97.14 (stuff for mom and parental guilt for those left in Mexico)
Groceries $708.93 (it could have been so very very much worse)
Diesel/Gas $65.49 (I’m not entirely sure this is accurate)
Household $1144.17 (passports ($555.12) and RT plane fare ($509.40) included here)
Camping $613.75 (lot rental, includes water, electricity and garbage; includes one night at hotel in Merida)
Snacks $8.55
Storage Unit $176.00
Auto/Rental insurance
Internet $59.99
Allowance $12.96 (I’m sure it was more; they’re always nickel and diming me)
Clothing $74.04 (clothes for the kids from the US)
Computer $10 (hosting)
Medicines $66.18 (contacts and other US meds)

GRAND TOTAL $3532.51 (OUCH!!!)
